Delio Fernández, espanhol de 29 anos, que representa a W52-Quinta da Lixa, é, sem dúvida alguma, um dos principais ciclistas do pelotão português, e não precisamos de recuar muito para corroborar esta afirmação, este ano a sua volta a Portugal foi fenomenal, venceu 2 etapas, esteve sempre lado a lado com o seu líder de equipa que venceu a volta, e ainda terminou no 4º lugar da geral individual com um infortúnio no último contra relógio a fazer-lhe fugir o pódio.
