Il fut le treizième et dernier coureur engagé par Stéphane Heulot au sein de la nouvelle équipe Besson Chaussures-Sojasun. Il en sera le capitaine de route. A 30 ans, le Picard Jimmy Casper espère qu'avec cet énième changement d'équipe il mettra un terme à une série noire.
