In January Óscar Sevilla signed with Michael Ball's Rock Racing team and, although prevented from starting the Tour of California, has shown his class by winning the time trail at the San Dimas stage race, and last but not least the points classification and stage 9 at the Vuelta a Colombia.

A meteoric rise to the top
In October, Colorado cyclist Taylor Phinney competed in his first event on the track, winning the U.S. National Championship at the age of 17 in the individual pursuit. Last month, competing in the event for only the fourth time, he won gold at the UCI World Cup Classics in Los Angeles.
