Roger Thomas has sent me this translation from L'Equipe of an interview with 1996 Tour de France winner Lucien Aimar. It was published by L'Equipe on July 25, a few days before the major police hassles with the Tour. Since 1974 Aimar has been the organiser of the Tour Mediterraneen.
