It was only a few years ago when Leigh Howard was walloping the Australian domestic scene and I knew from racing against him that he was going places. In his past three years as a professional he's had a steady progression as a sprinter and started off by beating some of the best. After winning two stages of the Challenge Mallorca last week we thought it was time to get to know Leigh Howard a little bit better. Leigh Howard of HTC-Highroad reckons that the Aussies are going to win the battle on the track at next year's Olympic Games in London, while hoping for more luck on the road at the Ster ZLM Tour, formerly known as the Ster Elektrotour.

Leigh Howard is just one of the many talented riders coming from Australia. The 20 year old is the reigning Omnium World Champion and that is just one of the highlights of his career. His first race on the road for Columbia was this week’s Tour of Oman and it was one to remember.
