Last month Kuota-Senges rider Malaya van Ruitenbeek won the individual time trial at the Students World Championships. Van Ruitenbeek also came in third at the road race of the same event. Van Ruitenbeek is in great shape and looking forward to a summer full of stage races.

Winner of the penultimate stage in the Tour of Thailand earlier this month, Malaya van Ruitenbeek will start for a Dutch national team at the Vuelta Al Tachira in Venezuela on January 5th. The 25 year old will publish a riders diary about the Vuelta at the Cyclingheroes website.
