On Friday, Team Ineos made the surprise announcement that it had recruited Cameron Wurf for the 2020 season. Not only had the team signed Wurf but the Olympic rower turned WorldTour racer turned Ironman triathlete would be competing at Cadel’s Race just two days later. The Tasmanian has trained and been associated with Ineos for a few years now, but in 2020 that partnership has been formalised significantly.

He did a 180km TT in 4:12:54. Before that he swam 3.8km and afterward he ran a marathon. Cameron Wurf’s bike time is over five minutes faster than the previous record. We talk to him about it…

China’s 13 stage Tour of the Qinghai Lakes was first held in 2002 with Tom Danielson of the USA as the first winner.

We caught up with Cameron Wurf after his fifth overall finish at the Tour of Turkey. The former Olympic rower is one of the most interesting cyclists to follow these days and he’s going to use his huge potential to serve Ivan Basso at this year’s Tour de France.

Is it possible to have “the perfect injury”? According to new Liquigas recruit Cameron Wurf, it IS possible. In this instance Wurf has suffered a broken rib, although he isn’t letting his injury hold him back.

In his third year as a professional, Androni Diquigiovanni's 26-year-old Australian, Cameron Wurf, is riding his first ever Grand Tour so we though it would be good to hear exactly what it was that got the ex-rower out of the boat and into the Giro.
