Tara Whitten and Zach Bell were recently crowned World Cup Omnium Champions as the Track World Cup series ended in Manchester, Great Britain on Feb. 19-20. We caught up with them to talk about their Omnium victory, their stellar season, and the Canadian track program.

Best known for her recent 2010 double Track World Championship titles in the Omnium and Points race, Tara Whitten is also Canada's 2009 Time Trial champion on the road, and placed 8th in the time trial at last year's Road Worlds.

On Saturday, at the 2010 Track World in Copenhagen, Tara Whitten became the first Canadian to win a world title on the track since Tanya Dubnikoff's sprint win at the 1993 Track World Championships in Hamar.

With a silver medal at the world championships, a national road time trial title win followed by a 8th place at the Road World Championships, and just this month gold and silver medals at the latest round of the World Cup, Canada’s Tara Whitten is clearly on a roll!
