Serhiy Honchar hat beide Zeitfahren der Tour 2006 gewonnen. Der ukrainische Routinier von T-Mobile ist ein bekanntermaßen guter Zeitfahrer - dass er aber beide Male die Nase vorn hatte, überraschte den 36-Jährigen dann doch.

Sergei Gonchar reivindica su antiguo nombre más que su liderazgo en el T-Mobile. A pesar de su regularidad en la montaña del Giro y de la fortaleza en su victoria en la crono del Tour antepone que gane un corredor de su equipo en París a su clasificación.
