He has a great name for a cyclist, Sam Spokes; we first spoke to the young Aussie in 2013 when he was making a name for himself with QuickStep U23 feeder team, Etixx.

Australia's Mr Sam Spokes, he had a good season in Belgium last year and this year he's with Etixx-Ihned Cycling Team - the QuickStep U23 feeder team. Last week he pulled off his best win in the four stage Vysoèina Tour in the Czech Republic and as is our way, we "had a word."

Another young Aussie talent is burning up the cobbles in Flanders – Sam Spokes from Tamworth in New South Wales recently won the Zillebeke-Westouster-Zillebeke ‘inter-club.’ ‘Inter-clubs’ are hotly contested and a win in one can be a solid first step to a pro career. We spoke to young Mr. Spokes, a few days after his win.
