Burgos-BH’s Matt Gibson Gets PEZ’d!

With the Vuelta a España about to start, Ed Hood talks to an aspiring young rider who is cutting his teeth with the Spanish ProContinental Burgos-BH team. The team will be on the start line in Torrevieja without Matt Gibson, but he has already had a successful 2019 season. Matt gives Ed the lowdown.

Last years winner of stage 5 (Beaugency - Levroux) in the Tour de l'Avenir, 22 year-old Englishman Matt Gibson, has been snapped up by a pro team – Spanish pro continental outfit Burgos-BH. We were intrigued by his choice of team and contacted Matt for a chat about his new direction.

Matt Gibson had a superb season in 2018. The 22 year-old sprinter took six road wins in total, more than any other British continental or U23 rider. Next season he will step up to Pro Continental level with the Spanish team Burgos BH.
