Als herboren terug in profpeloton: " het was weer vanouds"

Martijn Budding (24) was al twee jaar profwielrenner, maar voelde zich ongelukkig. Daarom deed hij een stap terug, om er vervolgens weer twee vooruit te doen. Bij BEAT Cycling Club revancheerde Budding zich met goede prestaties. Het leidde tot interesse van Lotto Soudal en Katusha-Alpecin en uiteindelijk een transfer naar Riwal-Readynez. “Het was weer zoals vanouds. Ik heb weer op kunnen pikken waar ik bij Rabobank mee ben afgesloten”, blikt Budding terug in een uitgebreid gesprek met WielerFlits.

Parti dans une échappée au bout de 60 kilomètres en compagnie de quatre autres coureurs, Luuc Bugter (BEAT Cycling Club) s'est imposé sur cette troisième et dernière étape du Tour d'Eure-et-Loir. Le Néerlandais de 25 ans s'est du même coup adjugé le classement général final de l'épreuve.

Partie en deuxième position, la formation BEAT Cycling Club a fait mieux que tout le monde, ce vendredi, à l'occasion de la 1ère étape du Kreiz Breizh Elites (2.2), un contre-la-montre par équipes disputé sur une distance de 12,4 kilomètres disputé autour de Ploumagoar (Côtes d'Armor).
