In 2005, Russell Downing scored the biggest win of his career, winning the British road championship. With his new stripes on his back, the then 28 year-old Downing was ready for the big-time contracts to roll in. However, the ProTour teams did not beat a path to his door.

He's the Fastest in Berlin
Great Britain's Mark Cavendish and Ed Clancy both finished the Tour of Berlin in the top 10 this week with Cavendish benefiting from his team-mate's help in winning two stages, finishing second overall and taking home two jerseys - Green for the Points and the Red for the Intermediate sprints.

"Overall the team is looking really good"
