Cadel Evans
"J'ai du mal à y croire"

eurosport.fr, 15 July 2008

Evans relies on strong team
Tour de France favourite Cadel Evans was worried about his knee but the week of racing at the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré reassured him about his chances to be at the peak of his form in the Tour de France next week.

Nothing but quality
Some might start minimising the abilities of Australian sprinter Robbie McEwen as the 35 year-old is still without a victory in 2008, after four months of competition. It is odd, and, on the eve of the Spring Classics, McEwen talks about his season so far and his goals for 2008.

"Paris-Nice is never won until the last day"
After his stage two ‘chute,’ Dario Cioni is out of the Paris-Nice picture for 2008. So what happens next, does the team just forget about him? And on the premise; ‘that it’s never too early to talk about LE TOUR,’ we talk TOUR, so have a Sunday read!

“Er, ah, yes, it was pretty cold up there,”
The Silence-Lotto has had a mixed Paris-Nice. He took a beating in the stage one crosswinds, and also lost time on the Col de la Croix de Chaubouret on the stage to St Etienne. But then he bounced back with a stage win at Mont Serein.

"I’ll be back on the bike tomorrow"
Despite coming down heavily and retiring after a stage two pile-up, Silence-Lotto’s former Italian time trial champion, Dario Cioni gave his take on a wet and surprising Paris-Nice - plus his views on the ASO vs UCI super heavyweight bout.

Bert Roesems

"Kuurne isn’t half as hard as Het Volk"
For a while last year, it looked like his inspired solo break was going to be the move of the day; he’s ridden the race half a dozen times - who better to ask about Het Volk than Belgium’s Big Bert Roesems (Silence-Lotto)?

"It's July which matters for me"
They call the Tour of Andalusia the "Ruta del Sol" or “road to the sun” in the race manual. Well, maybe. Just not this year. Even the local donkeys are plodding around in wetsuits...
