Christophe Laurent
« Par nos résultats, nous devons convaincre les dirigeants d’Agritubel de rester sponsor de l’équipe ! »

velo-club.net, 27 December 2008
Année noire ou année de transition, 2008 ne restera pas de toute manière dans la mémoire de Christophe Laurent comme une année référence.

Martijn Maaskant

24 December 2008

‘Sleepy Martijn’
To his teammates, he’s ‘Sleepy Martijn,’ but he was wide awake when he grabbed fourth spot behind Boonen, Cancellara and Ballan in this year’s Paris-Roubaix - in his first full pro season.

"chez Slipstream, j'ai compris la difficulté d'une intégration dans une autre culture."
Après une saison chez Garmin-Slipstream, le Lozérien Christophe Laurent réintégrera l'équipe Agritubel en 2009.

Blake Caldwell

A family thing
This year Garmin-Chipotle rider Blake Caldwell found himself on the podium of the US Pros National Road Race Championship in Greenville, S.C. where he placed 2nd after an all-out sprint with Tyler Hamilton. Blake spoke with Amy Bush at the recent team camp in Boulder.

Timothy Duggan
pezcyclingnews.com,
8 December 2008

"everyone reacts differently"
Pro cyclists live on the razor's edge; one moment Slipstream's (now Garmin) Timmy Duggan was safely in the Tour of Georgia peloton, with the prospect of his first Giro not far away. The next, he was on the tarmac with life threatening injuries.

Tom Danielson

Back to the drawing board
Tom Danielson will be starting his second season with Garmin next year, but he’s looking at it as a fresh start. After a frustrating year that started with a broken shoulder and little fitness, the former Discovery Channel rider is eager to get cracking with off-season training this winter.

Christian Meier
velonews.com,
26 November 2008

"A lot of early mornings and hard work"
Bradley Wiggins may be Garmin’s highest-profile signing for 2009, but Christian Meier may be the team’s most promising young hire. But in a way, Meier was already there; the tri-lingual 23-year-old spent the last half of the 2008 season as a stagiare with Garmin.

David Millar talks TTT
With Scot time trial specialist David Millar in the mix, Garmin-Chipotle won the Giro’s opening team time trial this May. Adding Olympic and world pursuit champion Bradley Wiggins to the team along with Canadian strongman Svein Tuft, Garmin is anticipating an even stronger TTT crew for 2009.

Magnus Backstedt
pezcyclingnews.com,
22 November 2008

Back To Action
Magnus Backstedt is one of the most accessible and ‘real’ men of the pro peloton. He always finds time to tap us into the often closed world of professional bike racing, and we talked to him recently about the 2008 season and his year with Garmin-Chipotle.

Daniel Martin
pezcyclingnews.com,
14 November 2008

"The time trial set me up"
First year professionals; they’re supposed to find their feet, learn the ropes, listen to what the old pros say and get in the odd ‘suicide’ move. Daniel Martin didn’t read that part of the script, winning his first pro race, the Route de Sud.

The next big thing?
Daniel Martin had a superb debut season, taking a number of important results including overall victory in the Route du Sud. He talks about his year and his hopes for the future.

Steven Cozza

Paris-Tours Up Close
First we had the traditional Flemish view of Paris - Tours from Bert Roesems; but they look at things a bit differently in San Francisco, yes sir! PEZ caught up with Garmin-Chipotle's Steven Cozza for a look back at the race that was.

David a Golliath once again?
He got a rainbow jersey once before, but had to hand it back. This time round, David Millar is aiming to win it for real.
