American sprint star Tyler Farrar is known for podium appearances in the Grand Tours. Riding for Garmin-Transitions in 2010, Farrar won two stages at both the Vuelta a Espana and the Giro d'Italia, and picked up a second and a third place finish in stages at the Tour de France.

No sophomore slump
Cervelo TestTeam’s lone American, Ted King, is in his sophomore year in Europe and starting to find his place in the peloton. For now, the 27 year old is happy to be building upon a rookie year that was marked by injury but which also included finishing his first grand tour, the Giro.
