In February 2007 American Tyler Farrar arrived in the Belgian city Ghent alone, his suitcase in one hand and his bike in the other. Just 22 years old, Farrar was fresh off training camp with Cofidis and when asked where he’d like to go, he answered Ghent, despite having no place to live.
