It looks like Team Geox-TMC will have to make do with a Pro-Continental licence next year. According to Tuttobiciweb, team manager Maurizio D'Angelo has received a phone call by Pat McQuaid, informing the team about the UCI's decision. Details on the motivation by the UCI are not yet known.

Volgens Tuttobiciweb zou de manager van het team, Maurizio D'Angelo, gisteravond gebeld zijn door Pat McQuaid die hem in dat gesprek van de afwijzing op de hoogte gesteld zou hebben. Op dit moment zijn de beweegredenen van de UCI nog niet bekend.

The Spanish based Geox team will be operating on a much wider base in 2011. Apart from from the continuation of Footon-Servetto as Geox, the Diadora-Pasta Zara ladies squad will also operate as Geox starting next season. To top it off, a satellite team of amateurs will be supported.

Het Spaanse team Geox gaat in 2011 een veel bredere basis neerzetten. De sponsor neemt naast het UCI ProTour team van Footon-Servetto ook het dames team van Diadora-Pasta Zara over en zal tevens een satelliet team van amateurs gaan steunen.
