“It was long-term security that led me from Shack to BMC”
Following the announcement that Taylor Phinney will be joining BMC Racing for 2011, the team held a short teleconference call Wednesday for a group of journalists. Joining Phinney was BMC president Jim Ochowicz, as well as his father, two-time Tour de France stage winner Davis Phinney.

Close enough to a fairy tale
Fairy tales are rare in pro cycling, but 25 year old Matthew Busche’s story is as close as they come. Starting the 2009 season as an amateur in the US, he rode just four races for Kelly Benefits before finding himself on Team Radioshack, where he recently podiumed in the Tour of Denmark.

"No, no - this is your opportunity to show them why they should pay you!"
It was back in April when we last spoke to New Zealander Clinton Avery - our tip to be the 'next Jack Bauer.' A lot has changed since that first conversation, and in the 20th edition of the Tour of Denmark, the big New Zealander lined up with a 'Shack' jersey on his broad shoulders.

Another step forward

Dmitriy Muravyev

I’m not riding the Tour for myself
RadioShack might not have the Tour de France favorite in its ranks, but former Astana rider Dmitriy Muravyev hopes that his team will derail defending champion Alberto Contador’s bid to win the showcase event for a third time.

A happy ending ?
Heading into his final Tour de France, Lance Armstrong knows that he will have no time to look around and enjoy his time in the race as nothing can deter him from his ultimate goal: an unprecedented eighth Tour de France win.

A Name To Watch
New Zealander Clinton Avery took time to speak to us just days after his win in the important 'Topcompetitie' series race, Vlaams Pijl - regarded by many as a spring board race to a pro career.

Levi Leipheimer

Leipheimer on different start to season in 2010
Levi Leipheimer isn’t used to racing in Europe so early in the season, at least not since the inception of the Tour of California in 2006. Since then, Leipheimer has been Mr. February, winning three consecutive Tours of California to open each season with a major victory.

Chechu Rubiera
livestrong.com,

'Cima Chechu Rubiera'
The Cotobello climb in Asturias that is to feature in the final week of the 2010 Vuelta a España would provide Rubiera with a great way to round off his career in his 16th and final season given that the climb has been dubbed the 'Cima Chechu Rubiera' in his honour.

"I would rather be racing in 40 degrees than 0 degrees"
Our new staff writer and photographer Jarrod Partridge hooked up with Team Radioshack rider Daryl Impey from South Africa for a talk about his goals this year, and his thoughts on the new Team Radioshack.

Daryl Impey

"Lots of nice touches"
South African rider Daryl Impey has just finished racing in the Santos Tour Down Under in the first race of the season for Team RadioShack. Last month at the Tucson training camp I had a chance to sit down with Daryl for a little one-on-one.

Tomas Vaitkus

Sometimes I Feel Like a Train
Tomas has ridden for Johan Bruyneel’s teams for four years now and during this time I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen him without a smile on his face or a gleam in his eye as he contemplates playing a practical joke on a teammate.

Ben Hermans
teamradioshack.us,
22 January 2010

"I hope to start in the Vuelta"

Jason McCartney

The happy workhorse
Jason McCartney is consistent if nothing else. An appointed domestique since he was 15 years old, the native Iowan has a developed a sick passion for burying himself into the ground in the service of others.
